MYCOPHYTO, a fruitful return from the 2024 International Agricultural Show

The 2024 International Agricultural Show closed the curtain on 3 March, marking the 60th edition of this flagship event. With 603,652 visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors, the Porte de Versailles has become a real crossroads for actors in the agricultural sector. This annual meeting offered an ideal platform to present MYCOPHYTO's innovations, but also to highlight the need for a new direction and vision for agriculture.

The importance of the Salon

This year's edition went beyond a simple encounter to become a symbol of the transformations needed in agriculture, illustrated by the palpable tensions.

In these critical times, the call for vision, direction, and hope is stronger than ever. Startups, including MYCOPHYTO, took advantage of this opportunity to shape the future of agriculture, focusing on the essential transition to agroecological practices and innovation.

The SIA 2024 in a few figures and events

MYCOPHYTO stood out, not only by welcoming 50 institutional visitson its stand but also for its massive presence on social networks.

MYCOPHYTO was able to start discussions with more than 40 actors from the various sectors addressed. In all, they are more than 100 targeted contacts that have been established, promising new opportunities for collaboration and innovation in the agricultural sector. MYCOPHYTO's contribution to the fundamental debate on the future of soils was highlighted during the conference moderated by Justine Lipuma and in which Erik Orsenna, Cédric Villani, Marc-André Selosse and Christian Sinicropi participated.

As usual, MYCOPHYTO's commitment was noticed, especially in the area of La Ferme Digitale, a symbol of digital innovation in the service of sustainable and efficient agriculture. This space hosted a memorable conference on February 25, led byJustine Lipuma,CEO of MYCOPHYTO, surrounded by influential figures such as Erik Orsenna, Julian of Normandy, Hervé Pillaud and Lola Pillu Perrier. A panel that was able to discuss with both lightness and depth the immense challenges that are at stake in AGRICULTURE.

How to remove the obstacles and what levers can we rely on to cross the threshold of laboratory pilot and become a real industrial player?

Led by Clément SOULIER Industrial & Innovation Director, Axioma Biologicals, with speakers such as Pierre Tholozan from MYCOPHYTO, and Jean-Philippe Thierry from France Industrie, this roundtable explored challenges and solutions for startups wanting to move from the laboratory stage to a significant industrial role, highlighting strategies for overcoming regulatory, technical and financial obstacles.

This session, pitched for MYCOPHYTO by Jean-Nicolas Detourbet, offered an overview of innovative solutions in the agricultural sector, demonstrating the diversity and innovation of new technologies at the service of agriculture.

Mycophyto/groupama: An innovative partnership to revitalize soils

The round table between Groupama and MYCOPHYTO highlighted their innovative collaboration to improve the resilience of soils in the face of climate change. Groupama underlined its commitment to farmers and innovation through the Volt'terre program. MYCOPHYTO presented its technology to revitalize soils, already being tested in Burgundy, with promising results on plant health and the reduction of inputs. This initiative illustrates the importance of partnerships between the agricultural sector and technological startups for sustainable and resilient agriculture.

SHIFT PROJECT exchange

MYCOPHYTO also participated in a meeting to discuss the future of sustainable agriculture. This exchange, focused on agroecological technologies capable of reducing the carbon footprint and adapting to climate change, was an opportunity for Ludivine Alenda to specify how MYCOPHYTO's solutions contributed to improving these aspects. The discussion explored innovative solutions, such as the use of plant cover and satellite technology, for agriculture that is less dependent on fossil fuels.
